Frequently asked questions
How quickly will I get drug screening results?
Negative results are typically available within 24 hours of specimen collection. Non-negatives take longer, usually 24-72 hours, because they require MRO review and GC/MS confirmation.
What does a 5-panel drug test cover?
A standard 5-panel screens for amphetamines, cocaine, opiates, PCP, and THC. A 10-panel adds barbiturates, benzodiazepines, methadone, methaqualone, and propoxyphene. Custom panels are available.
Do you handle DOT drug testing?
Yes. We run DOT-compliant drug and alcohol programs for transportation, trucking, aviation, rail, and pipeline employers under 49 CFR Part 40. Random pools, post-accident testing, reasonable suspicion, and return-to-duty are all supported.
Can an applicant test positive for legal medication?
Yes, which is why every non-negative is reviewed by a licensed Medical Review Officer. The MRO verifies legitimate prescriptions before the result is reported to the employer.
What happens if an applicant refuses to test?
A refusal is treated as a positive under DOT rules and under most non-DOT employer policies. We document the refusal with full chain-of-custody so your compliance record is complete.
