Before you order
- Confirm the job role, work location, and reason for the background check.
- Select the package or searches that fit the role. Do not order checks that are not relevant to the position.
- Collect the candidate's legal name, prior names if available, date of birth, and current contact details.
- Collect the signed disclosure, authorization, and any state-specific release forms your workflow requires.
- Confirm whether driving, education, employment, license, drug screening, credit, OIG/SAM, or international searches are needed.
When you submit
Enter candidate information exactly as provided on the release form. Small spelling differences, missing prior names, incomplete school details, or missing license states can delay research.
- Use the package notes field for role-specific context.
- Attach or provide release forms through the secure path available to your account.
- Flag urgent timing, start dates, or source constraints before fulfillment begins.
After submission
Most standard reports return within a few business days, but courts, schools, employers, DMVs, labs, and international sources can create delays. Watch for follow-up requests and respond quickly.
Useful next guides
