Client dashboard guide

What happens after you click a dashboard action.

The Information Direct dashboard is designed to keep client requests easy while preserving staff review, release-form control, audit logging, and provider safeguards behind the scenes.

Every important action creates a reviewable next step.

Why the review step matters.

Background checks are not ordinary form submissions. Before fulfillment, operations may need to confirm permissible purpose, candidate authorization, package scope, source access fees, billing preference, report delivery, and adverse-action support needs.

  • Release forms are reviewed before sensitive fulfillment work begins.
  • Provider automation remains gated until setup, templates, and security controls are verified.
  • Staff can see task status, priority, due date, client, order, and document context.
  • Clients receive confirmation without needing to understand the internal queue.

FAQ

Operations handoff FAQ

Does clicking a dashboard action automatically order a report?

No. Current dashboard requests are saved, audited, emailed to operations, and reviewed before fulfillment. Provider automation is only enabled after account setup and approval.

Why is there a staff review step?

Background screening has legal, source-fee, release-form, and provider requirements. The review step prevents avoidable fulfillment and compliance mistakes.

Will clients see internal task details?

Clients see useful confirmation messages. Internal assignment, source notes, and staff status live in operations tools.

What changes after provider automation is approved?

Approved automation can reduce manual retyping and speed status handoff, but credentials stay server-side and staff controls remain in place.
